Q: Why is Patch My PC acquiring Scappman?
A: Both companies have passionate people, great technology, and amazing customers. We feel that unifying our teams and our technologies will allow us to accelerate our innovation and put us in an even better position to create technology for you that solves your needs and helps you scale out your ability to stay secure while managing applications in your environment.
Q: When?
A: The official acquisition is completed. We are now working through how we will align our teams to serve our combined customer base better.
Q: How will this affect me as a customer?
A: There will be no critical changes. The subscription you are currently utilizing will continue to operate as it has, along with the same price point. There should be little or no observable change on your part, and you can expect to enjoy the same continued functionality.
Q: Will the founders of Scappman be involved in Patch My PC going forward?
A: Yes – Definitely! A huge part of this acquisition wasn’t just the opportunity for us to merge technologies and accelerate innovation. It’s also about integrating experienced leaders like Maarten and Wout into the Patch My PC team. We anticipate they’ll help us drive even more ambitiously into the future.
Q: Will there be changes in how the products are supported?
A: No. We will continue to deliver top industry support as we always have, and it will continue to be FREE as it always has. We are working to align our customer engineering teams – learning from each other and continuing to improve how we serve our customers.
Q: Will there be new features?
A: Yes! In the last few months, we have been aligning our roadmaps for future innovation. There are many features and improvements we are excited to bring to our customers. We will bring this news and announcements to you when we are closer to shipping some of these improvements.
Q: Is there any action on my part?
A: There is nothing to change or action required from a product and technology point of view. The subscription you are using will continue to work without interruption or changes on your part. For some customers utilizing Scappman products, we may need some tweaks to the language in some contracts (we will be reaching out to you individually, case by case.) Also, as we align our internal systems, there may be some changes in the procurement process.
