What’s my timeline for migrating to Patch My PC?

Although you can still renew your Scappman subscription anytime up to November 30, we recommend focusing on your migration to Patch My PC instead of extending your current plan. Starting December 1, our standard renewal process will pause, and all Scappman contracts will conclude on January 31, 2026. If you have any questions or need a bit more time, just drop us a line at [email protected].>—we’re here to help!

Starting September 1, we’ll create a snapshot of all Scappman subscriptions and we’ll begin sending out Patch My PC license keys to make your migration as smooth as possible.

  • For MSPs: You’ll receive a complimentary 6-month MSP Plus license key to kick off your journey with Patch My PC Cloud.
    • If you manage customers with active annual Scappman licenses, those customers will be refunded for their remaining subscription time once you confirm all your customers have been migrated to Patch My PC by emailing [email protected].
  • For annual Scappman customers (direct or connected trough reseller): We’ll make sure you get extra value. Your remaining subscription time (starting from September 1) will be tripled and converted into a Patch My PC Enterprise Premium license.
    • Example: If you have 30 days left, you’ll receive a 90-day Patch My PC license.
  • For monthly Scappman customers (direct or connected trough reseller): You can start fresh with the 30-day free trial of Patch My PC Cloud.

Please note: If you choose not to use this offer and still have an active Scappman subscription on January 30, 2026, your subscription will automatically conclude and you’ll be refunded for the remaining time.

Technical migration to Patch My PC

Recommended Migration Steps

Prerequisite: Make sure your Patch My PC portal is fully set up before you begin.

  1. Public Apps
In the Patch My PC Cloud portal, open the Discovery page and configure each public application without assignments. Use your existing Scappman settings as a reference for app metadata and deployment options.

  2. Custom Apps
Create a new custom application in Patch My PC Cloud without assignments and copy over your installation/uninstallation commands from Scappman. (Note: PSADT V3 scripting will be supported in PMPC Cloud starting September.)

  3. Pilot Deployment
Assign your newly configured apps to a small pilot group in Patch My PC, and simultaneously exclude that group from receiving deployments via Scappman. Validate install success.

  4. Full Cutover
Once the pilot proves successful, reassign all relevant devices or users to Patch My PC and remove the same assignments from Scappman. After confirming smooth operation, delete the migrated app from your Scappman instance.

  5. Repeat for All Apps
Continue steps 3 & 4 for each application in your catalog. If you need an app or language variant that isn’t yet available, please submit a request at https://ideas.patchmypc.com.

  6. Cancel Scappman Subscription & Refunds
After all applications are live on Patch My PC, you may cancel your Scappman subscription. If you’re on an annual plan with at least 30 days remaining, you can apply for a prorated refund at [email protected]

MSP Tip: Use the AppSet feature in Patch My PC to bundle and deploy your applications across multiple managed customers simultaneously.

Feature Comparison: Built Around What Matters Most

Patch My PC isn’t a one-to-one replica of Scappman—and that’s by design. Rather than chasing feature parity, we’ve focused our investment on the areas that deliver the most value to our customers: expanded platform flexibility, reporting and analytics.

While there are a few Scappman features we’ve chosen not to carry forward, we’re confident that the overall experience with Patch My PC is a significant step up. Our goal isn’t to match every checkbox—it’s to build a solution that helps IT teams work smarter, faster, and with greater confidence.

Below, you’ll find a comparison of key features to help you understand what’s new, what’s different, and why this move is a win for your team.

Frequently asked Questions

Here are some of the most common questions asked by customers. If you still have an unanswered question after reading the FAQ, please reach out to [email protected].

Starting September 1, we’ll create a snapshot of all Scappman subscriptions and we’ll begin sending out Patch My PC license keys to make your migration as smooth as possible. This process will be finished by October 1.

  • For annual Scappman customers (direct or connected trough reseller): Your remaining subscription time (starting from September 1) will be tripled and converted into a Patch My PC Enterprise Premium license.  Not applicable for customers connected
Example: If you have 30 days left in your subscription after Septmeber 1, you’ll receive a 90-day Patch My PC license.
  • For MSPs: You’ll receive a 6-month MSP Plus key to kick off your journey with Patch My PC Cloud to manage your customers.
For MSP’s managing customers with active annual Scappman licenses, those customers will be refunded for their remaining subscription time once you confirm all customers have migrated to Patch My PC by emailing to [email protected]

Unfortunately not. Customers can only purchase annual subscriptions at Patch My PC. If you require a monthly subscription, please contact one of our MSP partners.

Azure consumption is not available at Patch My PC as a payment method.

At Patch My PC, the minimum annual license fee is $3,500. While customers with smaller device counts may pay a higher per-device rate, we believe this price fairly reflects the value of our support and the automation of thousands of applications.

If you’d like to calculate your return on investment—or need a tool to demonstrate the value of this subscription to your management—try our ROI calculator.

If price is still a barrier, please contact one of our MSP partners. They can tailor a monthly plan with a lower minimum commitment.

As of January 31, 2026, all active Scappman subscriptions will automatically conclude. After 30th of November, 2025, you will no longer be able to create new subscriptions or renew existing ones.

Patch My PC is a different legal entity and therefore it requires a new contract or the acceptance of our terms and conditions. You can accept these terms and conditions when starting a trial on https://portal.patchmypc.com.

If you require a contract, please inform your account manager or [email protected].

Yes, we’re adding support for PSADT commands in Pre, post and uninstall scripts. This feature will be available in September 2025.

No. You can continue using Scappman until your PMPC tenant is fully configured and tested, then switch over at a time that suits you.
