Unable to download the definition file.

Just got this today, Never had an issue with the software before, and I have no problem accessing the internet on my machine.

Windows 11 build 22631.2861

I don't know what specs are relevant enough to be mentioned, but I will provide anything needed to help.

Edit: I opened the .log file and found these:

Hello,

I have the same problem.

I have been trying to instal PatchMyPC for several days now but it never start and after 1 or 2 minutes I get the message that it is impossible to download the definition file and that there is a problem wth my internet connection (which is untrue).



This is the result of the logfile:

My Windows configuration:

  • Édition    Windows 11 Famille
  • Version    23H2
  • Installé le ‎03-‎05-‎23
  • Build du système d'exploitation    22631.2861
  • Expérience : Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0

My System configuration:

  • Processeur : 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-13400F 2.50 GHz
  • Mémoire RAM installée : 16,0 Go (15,8 Go utilisable)
  • Système d'exploitation : 64 bits, processeur x64

Oddly enough, it sorted itself out on its own! I didn't do anything, I just checked the following day and it worked!

Unfortunately, the problem is still there with me, despite several tries.

Could you try to repair Microsoft .NET framework on your machine?

Based on the error message you receive, it's a network issue. It could be a firewall blocking the download or your ISP or something else.

Repairing Microsoft .Net Framework did not solve the problem but adding an exception in my Avast Firewall did well.

Yes, I also believed that it is solved.
