Dear [Support Team],

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention an accessibility issue that has arisen with the recent update of Patch My PC Updater. As a user who relies on the NVDA screen reader for navigating applications on Windows, I have encountered significant difficulties with the latest version of your software.

The previous version, Patch My PC Updater 4.5.0.4, was fully compatible with the NVDA screen reader, allowing seamless interaction and usability. However, the recent update has disrupted this compatibility, making it challenging for visually impaired users like myself to use the application effectively.

Here are some specific issues I have encountered with the latest update:
- Inconsistent screen reader feedback when navigating the application interface.
- Inability to access certain features and options using keyboard shortcuts.
- Lack of proper labeling for buttons and controls, making it difficult to understand and use the application.

Given the importance of accessibility for all users, I kindly request that you consider addressing these issues in a future update. Ensuring that Patch My PC Updater remains accessible to users who rely on screen readers like NVDA is crucial for maintaining its usability and inclusivity.

Thank you for your attention to this matter. I appreciate your efforts in making Patch My PC Updater a more accessible application for all users. Please let me know if there is any additional information I can provide to assist in resolving this issue.

Best regards, I am using Windows 11 Pro and the latest version of the NVDA screen reader.

Hey there :)
Sorry to hear about this! Yeah NVDA had some changes in their installer which made us not be able to update it in Patch My PC Home Updater v4.
However, we released Home Updater v5 recently and this issue is fixed in it and NVDA now is up to date at v2024.4.1 :) Home Updater v4 support will end soon anyway.
Please try Home Updater v5 and let us know if you had any issues :) https://patchmypc.com/product/home-updater

This morning, I installed Patch My PC - Home Updater v.5.0.5.0 and noticed that I cannot successfully use NVDA to find the list of programs available for installation, nor the category for updating installed programs. When using the mouse, NVDA successfully identifies the programs, but when using the keyboard for full navigation, almost nothing happens. Additionally, when I navigate to the "My Apps" category, NVDA announces "list," but when I try to move with the arrow keys, NVDA falls silent as if there is nothing there. I also noticed that there are a few elements that NVDA does not recognize and instead reads only as "button."
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
Best regards,
