Messages - Scott (Patch My PC)

#1
Hi,

Can you please open a case here - https://patchmypc.com/technical-support and upload patchmypc.log with it for review?

Hi dhwatts

The email report and webhook notifications the Publisher sends out will tell you the assignments, but you are correct in saying PublishingHistory.csv will not give you that data.

If you would like to see more data listed out in that report, I would suggest raising it as an idea on the uservoice :)

Hey jcortijo

Patch My PCs catalogue only contains the latest release of the products we support, there is no option to publish a previous version.

If you have access to the previous versions installer, you could use our custom apps feature to package it, https://docs.patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-cloud/custom-apps

Hi /u/mguenth83, can I ask that you request this on our user voice https://ideas.patchmypc.com/
#5
Hi @Altu

Can I ask that you open a support case here, https://patchmypc.com/technical-support, so that we can exchange log files and other information securely.

Thanks
Scott

Hey Oweig2000

I test this internally. You can, if you wish, export application content from the SCCM server that Patch My PC's Publisher installed and import them into your offline environment.

They should revise and distribute perfectly fine.

As for an automated method, I suspect you could use the ConfigMgr PowerShell commands to export and import - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/apps/deploy-use/import-export-applications#automation

Hi Oweig2000

We're still discussing this internally, as we're unsure of the best thing to suggest here.

Please leave this with us for a little longer!

Hey Jemkey

Leave this with us, I'll chat with our app team and see if we can get this added today!

Hi Divine

Applications which are assigned as "Available" will never automatically update on the client device, they are "optional" installs. We have documentation on Intune Apps vs Intune Updates which may help - https://patchmypc.com/intune-apps-vs-intune-updates

Additionally, to ensure that newly created Applications have their assignments maintained, you will want to review this documentation here - https://patchmypc.com/intune-application-creation-options#topic2

Hi Paano,

This will be in todays catalogue release.
#12
Hi Paano, We'll take a look at this.

Hi yfilion

Can you please open a support case here and provide a log bundle from the publisher?

Hey @PaulKlerkx

Yes, that is mostly correct.

The only amendment is that one you create the dependency in ConfigMgr, Provided you have the Publishers default to update existing ConfigMgr apps in place, we will retain that dependency going forward.

https://docs.patchmypc.com/installation-guides/configmgr/configuration-manger-apps#:~:text=This%20will%20load%20the%20options%20panel%20in%20the%20Publisher.

Here you will see "When a new application update is available" - This would need to be set as default.

Hi Paul

I'm unsure whether you are using ConfigMgr or Intune, but both platforms have the ability to chain dependencies, which instructs the platform to install applications in a specific order.

You can read more about ConfigMgr dependencies here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/apps/deploy-use/create-applications#bkmk_dt-depend
You can read more about Intune dependencies here - https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/intune/apps/apps-win32-add#step-5-dependencies

These are things you configure directly in each platform, but you cannot configure these within Patch My PC.
