'Manage Conflicting Process' settings not applying during required uninstall

Hello,

I have the Cisco Jabber app configured with the following settings. I've also configured the default settings to configure a custom banner.

I've added an app supercedence setting for a different app in Intune to replace Cisco Jabber and configured it to uninstall Jabber at the time of installation for the new app. When this happens, however, I get the default conflicting app popup if Jabber is open at the time. Despite having configured 'Do not allow deferals', the user is still offered the option to snooze the uninstall, and the customized banner is not present. Is there a separate place that I need to configure conflicting process settings for a required uninstall?

Thanks!
Michael

Hello,

Since you've changed the settings in Manage Conflicting Processes, have you republished the App/Update? The Jabber App will need to be republished to get the latest changes in Manage Conflicting Processes.

Hi Andrew!

I think that may be what I was missing. Would a selective sync be sufficient? Or would I need to check 're-publish on next scheduled sync' before I run the sync?

Thanks for your help!

Do both, choose republish on next sync, then choose selective sync, then run a sync and it should just republish that 1 app, and not process anything else.

That worked, thanks Andrew!

I had assumed a full sync would upload a new intunewin with the changes, so I did not check republish before the sync initially. Once I did, the changes went through.

Perfect! Unfortunately, at the moment, those changes require a change in content, and we'll only sync updated content on a republish for Intune Apps and Updates. Glad it is working now!
