VLC Media Player 3.0.19

The October 13th update for VLC Media Player (3.0.19) is detecting as being installed on computers that are below version, and thus not actually updating them.  We have ~ 250 systems which ConfigMgr is showing as compliant with the update, but all of them are on 3.0.17 or below.

The stand-alone application version of VLC 3.0.19 seems to install and detect correctly.

PatchMyPC-SoftwareDetectionScript.log seems to indicate that the detection script is still looking for 3.0.17

This issue will require further investigation, can you please open a support case with us?

I checked the applicability rules for this update, and they look correct.
I'm curious which VLC update you are deploying - x64/x86 and MSI/EXE.
I'm also curious to look at the VLC version installed on a device which is listed as already compliant.
Can you please run this script on such a device?

It will export a CSV file with app information.
It will allow us to verify the applicability rules for the VLC update.

I suspect you found the issue!  After reviewing, I found we are pulling the MSI version for the full install, but had the EXE version selected for updates.  I've corrected that, and I'll try again.
