The update for Opera 101 to the initial 102 public release has been disabled due to serious problems that they are working on resolving. Information can be found at https://blogs.opera.com/desktop/2023/08/introducing-opera-102/

Is there a way in PMPC to disable an update so others can be done?

Hi Highstream,

We released the latest version of Opera 102 yesterday in our catalog (https://patchmypc.com/patch-my-pc-catalog-update-08-23-23). Please let us know if you are not seeing the latest version in the Patch My PC Publisher.

If you no longer want to publish new versions of Opera, you can uncheck that app in the publisher. That will ensure it is no longer published moving forward.

If you want to stop clients from scanning against that update, you can Decline the update with our Modify Published Updates Wizard. More information can be found here: https://patchmypc.com/modify-published-third-party-updates-wizard#decline.

If you run into any issues or have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us at [email protected].

The main issue I raised has to do with validity of Opera 102. Here's what one of the developers posted this morning (viewable at the OP link):

"We have currently disabled option to update to version 102 due to profile migration mechanism not working in some cases. It's still possible to manually download and install update."

Hello,

We've rolled back to version 101 in today's catalog. We will keep track and update when the next version is released.

Thanks. The main 102 problem has been fixed. I updated via PMPC because for some reason Opera itself said my 101 was the current version (registry entry left from previous try after system restore?). But right now, PMPC scan still shows Opera 101 needing update, except it also shows "No Software Selected." Not sure the way out of this.

Ahh, so that is our home updater. I will confirm that 102 has been pulled from the Home Updater as well.

Hello, it seems Opera released a fixed version after 102 (still version 102) and that is what you are seeing.
