Hi,
This is my first post here, and I hope I could explain the situation correctly.
Currently, on my 32-bits laptop (old one), I have installed the Avidemux 2.7.4.190815 version, from 15th of August 2019.
The Patch My PC Updater 4.1.0.3, detects that a new version of that program needs to be updated, and under "Media Tools" group, it marks the "Avidemux 2.7.5 (x86)" entry.
Since I have the option "Download only mode" selected, the update just simply do the download of the executable setup file, having the name "Avidemux 2.7.5 (x86).exe", but after a file compare, it shows that version, is exactly the same, of version 2.7.4.190815, currently the one that I have on my laptop.
Strangely, on the software site (http://avidemux.sourceforge.net/download.html), there's no 32-bits, for the latest 2.7.5 version available, only for 64-bits, and this explains why the versions from site and from your program, but with a different name, matches, since probably, your program couldn't find out the 32-bits of 2.7.5 version!
The latest version, for 32-bits, can be downloaded, through FossHub site (https://www.fosshub.com), but you need to choose "OLDER VERSIONS", and then the entry "[v2.7.4] Avidemux 32 bit Windows XP installer" (the direct download url is https://www.fosshub.com/Avidemux-old.html?dwl=avidemux_2.7.4_win32.exe).
By default and when possible, the option something like "check for updates", is disabled in every software that I install on my laptop, but for testing purposes, I just enabled on Avidemux, the option "Check for new release", under "Edit, Preferences" menu, and after restarting the software, it didn't give any message for update, meaning that the 32-bits version of Avidemux 2.7.4.190815, is the latest.
Please, asap, correct this bug, on your software.
Many thanks.
