Hi,

When running the previous version of PMPC the upgrade process tried to create a folder called "fr" and then failed to delete the current instance.

This created a deadlock where the .exe cannot be updated correctly and the spurious fr folder remains in the PMPC folder.

To resolve this I manually downloaded 4.2.0.0 from the web site and replaced the existing executable manually.

I note that 4.2.0.1 is now being used so perhaps that version updated itself correctly?

Anyway, big issue which need to be fixed.

Kind regards

Hi,

Is anyone working on this issue with PatchMyPC and Google Chrome?

I have the 64bit version of Chrome installed on Windows 10 and PatchMyPC is constantly reporting that an older version is installed and out of date when a newer one is already present on the PC!

Is this a detection issue with version numbers stored in the Registry or some other issue within PatchMyPC?

Regards

Simon
