I think I'm doing this the hard way. I'm going to try -p -u and get back to this forum.

This software is a pain in the backside. If this works to remove it from computers, I hope others find this post.

Goal: Create a custom app with Portal.patchmypc.com for teamsbootstrapper.exe and apply a post-script to run the teamsbootstrapper -u to remove the old versions from the computer. Warn and force quit teams.

I was able to create the app using the website. After the app shows up in the Publishing app, I then set the behavior of the notifications and point it to a file share with the post install script.

Script content (1 liner):
& "$PSScriptRoot\teamsbootstrapper.exe" -u

It will attempt to run the bootstrapper. When it gets to running the script, I get an error. Not sure how I can troubleshoot this.
Do we have some docs or suggestions on how to troubleshoot post install scripts?

It looks like teamsbootstrapper.exe -u may fail if there is no installations of the old client.

After packing the cleanzoom.exe to allow for removal of Zoom from user mode it errors because the validation script can't find the program.
I see no Uninstall program is set for the Programs tab within Deployment Types. I think it would be better to set it up as Uninstall and skip the installation check. However, with the portal it only supports installation and/or the check for installation can't be skipped.

How do I modify the Application to make it so I can deploy this in uninstallation mode?

Thank you,

PMPC has made this work manageable. Without it, it would have been a nightmare.
I pulled the reports from the app at first, because it makes nice csv files.

I think my problem is caused by a few endpoints that are failing DDR heartbeat check-ins. In one case the endpoint agent is corrupt with a generic error more associated with windows update installation failures. So, I spend a lot more time learning and troubleshooting cmagent then I ever thought was possible.

If anyone has tips on troubleshooting cmagent failing to check-in, that would be helpful.

I've been using installed third-party application detailed to find computers that have 3rd party software installed I need to remove.

I can manually remove it via Add/Remove and sometimes it still shows up.

If I believe the app is removed, how can I go about troubleshooting the endpoint?

I know that the end point must check-in for it to update.
