Gerring an update prompt from Patch My PC but the programs internal updater says the program is up to date.

Still happing. Patchmypc is trying to install the wrong language for Firefox. NOTHING on my system is set to any language other than English but somehow PMPC thinks otherwise. All other installs work perfectly....

Note. Firefox upload path has, "NL" on the end of the string.

  Patch my PC says there is an update to Avast Free. I checked for updates through the Avast update interface and it says it's up to date. Any thoughts?

Figured it out. It was cripto prevent from Foolish IT, an anti ransomware program I have installed. I removed the protection plan, ran Patch My PC and no warning. Re-did the protection plan and restarted the system. After restart I ran Patch My PC again, no warning. Thanks for the help.

Not in my skill set. Thanks anyway. Funny, I have 3 other systems running the same version of windows and NP. Thanks anyway.

Hi! Whenever i start PatchMyPC i get a notification that "gacutil.exe" is being blocked by one of my detection programs. Can't tell which one yet. working on it. I have MalwareBytes Pro, Avast Free, Cripto Monitor, Cripto Prevent and SpyBot Anti-Beacon installed. No problems till today. Notice comes up in Windows Notification Box in lower right of the screen but doesn't give me any info on which program is doing the blocking. PatchMyPc seems to work fine anyway. Detects and updates programs just like before this started. What is, "gacutil.exe?"

I must apologise. The 32 bit version is installed on this system. (not my box but I should have checked first) The problem still exists but for the life of me I can't imagine why. It still wants to install the German language version and does not show an option to change the language. I allowed the install and sure enough, it was in German. Tried to correct the language preference in Firefox's settings. NG. Still in German. Uninstalled the program and manually installed a downloaded version from the Firefox website. It installed NP, all in english again.

(This message is incorrect. It is a 64bit machine and the 64bit version is installed still updating in wrong language)

Really... WOW! How stupid I am. I was just born yesterday... No I haven't. It keeps trying to update the 32 bit version... I don't have the 32 bit program installed. Even your uninstaller says that there is only one version on my system. 64 Bit. Once again, I did not pick german. Thanks for the answer though...

Patch My PC keeps trying to update Firefox. The problem is it's trying to install the German version. I ended up having to DL the new version and install it manually.

P.M.PC says that ccleaner needs to be updated, but when it tries the update fails and I get a message from windows that ccleaner is not compatible with win 10. So I went to the website, DL'ed the installer and installed it manually with no problem. I have run ccleaner and it works fine. Registry editor and cleaner. Windows still working fine after. I know this is probably a windows problem. Just wondering if anyone else is having a problem.
