Checking the box to skip auto update of Hotspot Shield is not persistent because the setting is not being added to the registry like other apps.

WinRAR and Thunderbird are OK now, thanks!
As for Shockwave and VLC, it seems one of the updates didn't remove the previous installed version. I manually uninstalled both, reinstalled them, and they are now OK.

The below software are fully updated, yet they are always detected as "not compliant":
Adobe Shockwave Player 12.0 | 12.0.0.112
Mozilla Thunderbird 24.6.0 (x86 en-US) | 24.6.0
VLC media player 2.1.1 | 2.1.1
WinRAR 5.01 (64-bit) | 5.01.0
The log file is below, and as you notice, it doesn't attempt to update Shockwave!
