Report Bugs and Issues (Free Home Updater) / Patch My PC is blocking Win10 from closing

When Patch My PC (build 4.1.0.5 MS Windows 10 64-bit) is active in the background (to check regularly for updates) and I shutdown my PC then the closing process is stopped and Windows reports that Patch My PC is stopping the shutting down. I can choose the option to continue anyway but imho should Patch My PC not block the PC from shutting down. The former is reproducible.
I consider the former a bug however it could be as designed. Please advise.
