Hello,
Having issues with updating LibreOffice though I have the latest stable version installed. But the updater keeps telling me to update to version 25.2.03. But it doesn't update when pressing the outdated "Status" button.
TY
Seems to be trying to download a version that isn't on the server.
And from the LibreOffice.org, the latest version seems to be still 24.8.4.
From the logs
[2025-01-31 10:11:59] DEBUG [LibreOffice]: Started downloading: 'https://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/25.2.0/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_25.2.0_Win_x86-64.msi'.

LibreOffice was updated to 24.8.4.2 in the catalog yesterday, which is the latest stable release:
https://www.libreoffice.org/download/download-libreoffice/
25.2.x is a pre-release, so if you didn't have a pre-release version installed originally, this sounds like a bug in LibreOffice's auto updater, so should be raised with them.
Hi, not sure.. I've seen clean installs of LibreOffice (via Patch My PC) failing recently, and I've resorted to downloading it manually. I didn't look at the logs, I was just preparing a couple of PCs for friends, but I do suspect that there might be a wider issue there.
We're seeing something similar in our environment. The only machines that have it installed are all running 24.8.2 and 24.8.4 did download successfully yesterday at around 1pm edt. At the same time the failed publishing of LibreOffice Latest 25.2.0.3 showed up and has continued through this morning.
We aren't deploying LibreOffice Latest so I went into my PMPC publishing settings then ConfigMgr Apps tab and confirmed that LibreOffice Latest was
not checked. However, on the Updates tab it was checked. Since we aren't deploying that particular version and never have, I removed it from the updates and am assuming that will clear it up for us during the next sync.
One of the error in our PMPC Publishing logs.
- An error occurred WebClient reported an error during download (https://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/25.2.0/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_25.2.0_Win_x86-64.msi): The remote server returned an error: (403) Forbidden. [System.Net.WebException] HResult: -2146233079
It appears that the 'LibreOffice Latest (MSI-x64)' package, which supplies 25.x, has a dead URL. We'll get this updated!
If you want to deploy 'LibreOffice Latest (MSI-x64)', you can get going quicker for now if you download manually and place in your local content repo:
https://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/testing/25.2.0/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_25.2.0.3_Win_x86-64.msi.mirrorlist
Upon further talks with the team, it seems LibreOffice released 25.2.0 as their stable release by mistake for a short while, then pulled it. It's now classified as a pre-release.
Hence the original URL (that had 'stable' in there) no longer being accessible:
https://download.documentfoundation.org/libreoffice/stable/25.2.0/win/x86_64/LibreOffice_25.2.0_Win_x86-64.msi
We plan to pull this release from our next catalog release.
Thank you all for the quick support...no issues now with "PMPC" software. LibreOffice is working and no outdated software shown during my scans.
