Title: ScreenConnect
Post by: l_seitz on January 23, 2025, 07:23:54 AM
I have added ScreenConnect (MSI x86) to ConfigMgr to review the "Patch My PC defined pre/post script" that was automatically checked in Publisher.  I want to review the Patch My PC script and compare with my manual install script I am currently using since ScreenConnect installs utilize a Unique ID that comes along with my subscription. How do I see the Patch My PC script?  Thank you.

You can click on the right-click option for the Patch My PC defined prescript and it will show you the script used. Our prescript for this app is just an uninstall script to remove the previous version of the app. If you need to provide additional command line arguments, utilize the right click option to "modify command line".

Thank you Andrew.  If I am currently incorporating an installation PowerShell script that contains my unique ID where would I incorporate my script in my ConfigMgr deployment?

You can add an additional pre or post installation script if you aren't able to use the command line option to add your unique id. note that you cannot replace the installation command with a script.

Wanted to round back on this.  I have not been able to find command line options to tag onto the installer, but since Connectwise does provide a custom installer just for my Org, I tried adding that installer as an additional prescript file (see screenshot).  The end result is that I get two installs, one from PMPC and one from my custom installer (see screenshot).  Is it possible to have PMPC use my custom installer by itself?  If so will this allow my clients to get updates when configured?  Thank you!

I think your best option here is to use Custom Apps to get your custom installer deployed. https://docs.patchmypc.com/installation-guides/patch-my-pc-cloud/custom-apps/create-a-custom-app
