Title: Installation fails
Post by: [email protected] on November 24, 2024, 12:08:30 AM
Hello

I am trying to install Home Updater on a Windows 10 PC and it repeatedly fails with the following error: .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0.11 x64 mandatory prerequisite was not correctly installed.

I have successfully repaired the .NET installation and reinstalled .NET, but the installation of Home Updater still fails.

Is there any way to resolve this issue?

Thanks

The Desktop Runtime is a separate download...

https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/8.0

Thanks. Yes I tried to install the Desktop Runtime separately and also repair the installation, but the Home Updater installation still fails.

Are you running a Snapdragon CPU?  It's been reported several times to PMPC support that their app won't install properly.  Several months now, but for some reason PMPC support has not even responded to the posts.  I mean, why not respond with "we're looking into it" or other tepid answer?  Just ghosting the requests for help is so 180 degrees from their enterprise support.  Really disappointing and I'm leaning toward a low satisfaction rating.

Thanks for the reply.

I am running a fairly old PC with an Intel i5-3340 CPU @ 3.10GHz, 3101 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s).
