Title: Chrome Versions
Post by: DMH on August 19, 2024, 01:41:23 PM
Easy question. Can someone tell me the difference between Google Chrome (x64) and Google Chrome (EXE-x64)?

If I add all of my Chrome x64 and x86 installs. It practically equals the total number I have for Google Chrome (EXE-x64). And if the answer is Google Chrome (EXE-x64) covers all, should I just use that instead of the 2 others as I have been doing?

Thanks in Advance

Chrome EXE is the EXE installer, Chrome (x64) is the MSI installer.

If you the data you are looking at is in the database scan tool, the two installers look nearly identical, which is why the EXE may be detected in that tool even if the MSI is installed.

Thanks so much for the clarification!!! I love PMPC, I hope to expand the use of it in my company.
