Title: Purge old updates
Post by: Iraklis on February 13, 2024, 04:55:14 AM
Hello everyone,

Could someone please suggest what is the best practice to delete the older update entries, these that are not assigned anymore, from PatchMyPC and Intune?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Iraklis,

You can use the Intune Application Manager Utility for deleting/cleaning the entries from your Intune portal :https://patchmypc.com/intune-application-manager-utility

In addition to that, you can also configure how many older version to keep in the Intune Options that may be helpful for the future: https://patchmypc.com/intune-application-creation-options

Thank you both for your replies.

@Raunak: I will do that.

@Justin: We have set this option already to 2 days but apparently it doesn't really work. Hence my initial question.

My question is related to this.  I'm trying to keep Chrome and Edge updated via Intune Updates.  I have a required assignment that I've set to 1 day availability and 2 days deadline.  I'm telling it to keep 2 updates back, but even though it keeps them, it unassigns them.

The issue then is that when Chrome and Edge release daily updates, the update assignment gets removed before it ever gets installed!!

Is there a way to tell it to keep the 2 updates back, but it keep the assignments?  Other apps have this issue, but these two update way more then the others.
