this is an odd one... I have Rufus (Portable) installed. It gets installed okay and works, and the icon is fine.
The next time I run Patch My PC, and something else is updated, then the application icon for Rufus is changed to the unknown document icon.
If I reinstall Rufus, then it's okay until something else is updated.
It doesn't seem to be related to what is updated, I've seen it occur with Chrome, Hotspot Shield and calibre.
The only reason I notice, is because I keep an icon for Rufus on my desktop, but I don't think it's related to that either, the icon for the actual application in the portableApps folder is also erased.
I hasten to add, this is purely cosmetic. Rufus runs correctly, icon or no icon.
That's annoying! Sometimes random changes might impact symbols like that, which is interesting. Since Rufus operates correctly, the icon issue doesn't impede functionality. Have you tried Patch My PC's app icon settings or contacted support? Perhaps a little bug needs fixing!
I thought support would see it here, but it hasn't happened since I upgraded to the new version so something has been changed/fixed.
