Hi Folks,
Anyone had luck upgrading old versions (4.8 and earlier) of Cisco AnyConnect to 4.10? I've been testing this in the lab and not had good results. Tried many different things, and finally settled on using a supercedence for all previous versions that I knew were out there (from SCCM report). My latest issue was running 4.8x on a machine with a supercedence that should have installed 4.10x. Instead it removed 4.8 and reverted to a version of 4.6 that previously was unknown in our environment. Any "Silver Bullets" out there? Thanks! GH
Hey Gary,
Thanks for reaching out here on the forum!
What I can suggest here is adding this uninstall script as a Pre-Script to remove any older versions of AnyConnect before installing version 4.10.

I'll have to test the updates myself to see if there is a better solution, but that should at least help you out when trying to upgrade! 😊

Hey Gary,
Just tested this in my lab by updating AnyConnect 4.8.0 to 4.10.0 (Latest) using our ConfgMgr Application package which was successful.
I'd be interested to look into the logs and see why this may be failing for you!
If you could please send us the following log files from one of those failed clients. You can email them to

Hey - thank you so much! I'll give that a try as well!
My pleasure, Gary! Hope it gets resolved soon! 😊
