Title: Zoom Client restart behaviour (ConfigMgr)
Post by: Danne_c on December 22, 2022, 02:49:15 AM
Since maybe a year or so the Zoom client requests a restart when being updated.
This restart is completely unnecessary.
I know this is because of exit codes generated, but running the MSI right out of the box does not do this.
Is there a way that can prevent this?
I tried using the option "Restart Behaviour" and set it to (Never reboots) in SCUP-console but with nu success.

Hey Danne,

You can set the option to suppress reboots in the deployment wizard of SCCM, or you can configure Manage conflicting processes to only install the update when the software is not running (this generally mitigates the 3010 exit code) - read more here: https://patchmypc.com/manage-conflicting-processes-when-updating-third-party-applications
