Title: Install 3rd Party Updates during TS
Post by: TimDK on January 10, 2019, 08:25:23 AM
In an 1806 environment - using the native integrated feature with a WSUS self signed cert (Configmgr managed).

Like regular updates we would like to install 3rd party updates during the Install Updates step in an OSD Task Sequence.

Initial testing shows 3rd Party Updates are not installing- based on the logs it seems this is due to a missing certificate.

For testing purposes a pause was built into the TS prior to the install updates step: when checking the cert store it confirms the certs are indeed not present.

Is this expected behavior? Any suggestions to work around this?

Hmm, could you include the logs on the client after OSD to support@<OurDomainName>? It's possible the policy to deploy manage third-party updates doesn't process until after the TS.
