Last post by Omar (Patch My PC) - November 01, 2024, 07:04:08 AM
Hey there,
Thank you for your feedback!
Can you please tell me what resolution are you using? and are you using a higher DPI than 100% or not?
Thank you!

Some apps in the home updater we don't offer updates for because they either don't have a version we can detect in the registry (Add/Remove Programs) or they never change the version numbers in there! But we keep them in the Home Updater because they are very common, and it's good to install them for the first time on a fresh Windows install, and their devs might actually fix this issue someday! Some of these examples are:

Corsair iCUE5
Steam
EA Play
Discord
Battle.Net
EaseUS Data Recovery Wizard
EaseUS Partition Master
yWriter7

However, Corsair iCUE5 is using a static download URL, so if you reinstalled it from our Home Updater, it should update to the latest :)  But it's a big one, so it will take a couple of minutes.

This means you have both 128.3.0 and 128.3.4 installed! and you need to manually uninstall the older one. The latest is 128.4.0 now though!
Also, this kind of confusion is now gone for good in our all new Home Updater v5.0 :) please check it out and let us know your feedback!

Report Bugs and Issues (Free Home Updater) / New UI

I appreciated how compact and easily readable the old UI was. Spacing between elements and lines on the new app is unnecessarily giant, making me scroll through them.
Changing the position of columns is glitchy and resets upon switching tabs.

Patch My PC offers me to replace version 128.3.0 with version 128.3.3, while I have version 128.3.4 !
Maybe it's because I'm using Thunderbird 64 bits, the 32 bits version being the most common.

Patch My PC me propose de remplacer la version  128.3.0 par la version 128.3.3, alors que j'ai la version 128.3.4 !
Peut-être est-ce dû à ce que j'utilise Thunderbird 64 bits, la version 32 bits étant la plus courante.

Intune may not have pushed the latest Edge update to your devices yet. I recommend forcing a sync of your device with Intune.

There is also an option available if use the 'Unified Installer' of Acrobat x64 to allow 'Reduced Mode'.

[HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Adobe\Adobe Acrobat\DC\FeatureLockDown] bIsSCReducedModeEnforcedEx = 1 (dword)

If you deploy the Adobe Acrobat Reader x64, if your users has a CC license for Pro, they should be able to just select 'Sign In' and the installation will upgrade it self to 'Pro'

I understand that the Acrobat 64-bit installer contains the components for Acrobat Reader as well as the support for Acrobat licensed versions. I would like some understanding of how this version could be used to deploy to our environment in a fashion where users with an Acrobat Pro license would be able to use this version via some form of automation. Finding minimal information from Adobe, so if anyone has direction it would be appreciated.
