Thank you very much Andrew!
If you're going to MMS-MOA in May, it would be great to meet there and talk about the product.

Our plan is to remove the VC++ 2015-2019 and move to 2015-2022. Microsoft no longer provides updates for 2015-2019, and 2015-2022 should cover 2015-2019 when it is installed (this is why it does not let you install 2015-2019 when 2015-2022 is already installed, they are actually the same app and 2015-2022 is just a newer version).

We'll need to adjust the applicability rules for 2015-2022 to allow it to upgrade 2015-2019, then remove 2015-2019 from our catalog. I expect this to be completed by the end of March 2023.

Thanks for the reminder on this!

You can change the log location in the options part of PMPC.
Just click on the foldername under "Logging Options" and select a new folder location.

General Questions (Free Home Updater) / PatchMyPC selfupdater
Last post by MerlinTheGreat - February 28, 2023, 03:50:06 AM
I found an older version of PatchMyPC, which still has the categories, on one of my usb thumbdrives.
I put this over the latest version on my internal drive.
In the ini file I activated the line "Chk_Options_DisablePatchMyPCSelfUpdater" to keep PMPC from updating itself to the newest release again.

I'm a bit disapointed that the app still does update itself, despite me activating the option not to do so.
Now I wonder: has this option ever worked?  ???
And what is the purpose of options if the app does not use them as should be?

General Questions (Free Home Updater) / Re: Downloads
Last post by MerlinTheGreat - February 28, 2023, 03:19:37 AM
You can find or change the downloadlocation in the Options under 'Download Options'.
It shows a folder with the word 'Cache' next to it, followed by the actual folder on disk where the downloads are put.
If you want to change this location, just click on the folder name and select a new location.
You might want to enable the 'Don't delete app installer files' too.

Hi pmptrad,

I'm following up from Scott's reply.

Pulse Connect Secure (x86) is no longer in our catalogue. The software was bought and rebranded by Ivanti. At this time, the successor we have in our catalogue is Ivanti Secure Access Client, however, this software is only available in our catalogue as x64 and not x86.

Do you need x86? x64 is generally preferred in nearly all circumstances for our customers.

Hey @pmptrad

Pulse Connect Secure is 1 of the applications in our catalogue that requires a manual installer download before our Publisher can package it. You can see this in the following KB article - https://patchmypc.com/local-content-repository-for-licensed-applications-that-require-manual-download

I'm interested in the Object Reference errors you are receiving. May you please click Collect Logs in the General tab of the Patch My PC Publisher and share the resultant zipped log bundle with me at [email protected] FOA Scott?

I enabled the application and the update in the Publisher, but neither are showing up in Configuration Manager.
The only error I found in the log states:
The number of updates found in the catalog is: 805 Catalog 24.02.2023 12:23:16 4 (0x0004)
An error occurred while getting package details for a product: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. [System.NullReferenceException] Logger 24.02.2023 12:23:16 1 (0x0001)

but I am unsure if that is linked to the Pulse Connect Secure Package.
