There is no free installer for 64-bit Adobe reader available.
You can install the 32-bit release with PMPC, but Reader will itself automatically update to 64-bit and then the build-in Reader automatic update will take over.

Since it is a Microsoft product I would prefer the one offered by Microsoft, but both should be the same.
May be one publishes earlier than the other.

Quote from: StPendl on October 09, 2021, 11:18:31 PMSee the attached image about how to change the path for the portable apps folder.

PMPC is still maintained, the last software update was a few months ago.
The software definitions are updated on workdays.

See the post above for the solution, found it by searching the forum for "portable"  :o

PMPC comes with the ability to configure a scheduled task.
You can use the command line of the scheduled task to run it from any script.

Exit code 1603 indicates a fatal error, see https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/msi/error-codes

Reboot your system and try again.
If the installation still fails set the option to not delete the installer and install manually to get a direct response from the installer what the issue is.

The installation of VirtualBox 7.0 always exited with error 1.
After a manual installation I got a dialog that the VC redistributable needs an update.
I then installed the Microsoft VC 2015-2022 redist and things worked.

Would you mind adding the VC redist as a pre-requisite to VirtualBox 7.0?

Thanks in advance.

After the update to Acrobat Reader DC 22.003.20258, it is no longer detected correctly.
Would you mind fixing the issue?

I go to the "unread posts" page at https://patchmypc.com/forum/index.php?action=unread every time I visit.
I then select one post and read it.
Afterwards I push the "unread posts" link from that page, but the "unread posts" page is not updated automatically and still shows the previously read post.
I have to press Ctrl+F5 to update it.

Anyway to fix the page, so it gets automatically updated?

Thanks in advance.

Generally Flash is not needed anymore, since all browser contain it.
You can remove it on Windows 10 and later.
#10
Sorry, I run out of suggestions.
#11
Windows defender is usually not blocking PMPC.
May be there is a firewall setting preventing the connection home for PMPC.
Which user is running the task, can you change the executing user to yours and check again?
#12
So the scheduled task is hanging, this is a new fact.
Could you check if your anti virus software is blocking PMPC?
#13
Did you set up the scheduled task manually or through PMPC?
If manually, delete the scheduled task and re-create it through PMPC.
Sorry, it is very hard to tell due to the log being not really supportive for this issue.
#14
Have you changed any security settings of Windows or are you running an otherwise manipulated Windows release?
It seems that the scheduled task has not the same rights as the interactive process.
#15
See the attached images for my settings of the scheduler and application.
How are you running PMPC, scheduled through PMPC (like I do), manually or with a custom script?
