VLC Media Player x64 EXE - desktop shortcut not removed

Hi

I just tested the update of VLC with the activated option for the desktop shortcut removal. I use the publishing service.
The shortcut was not removed! Is this because I use the EXE? On other software updates it worked when the MSI was used.

Is this shortcut on the public desktop? Can you let us know what the shortcut filename is?

yes, it's on the  public desktop.
The name is
VLC media player.lnk

When did you enable the delete shortcut option? We have the correct file name:

<ShortcutFileName>VLC media player</ShortcutFileName>

If you enable it after the update was published, it may not apply until the next update is released for VLC to remove shortcuts.

I'm not sure if I enabled it after the update was published.
But today the newest version was installed without the desktop icon. So it works now
