Been through the setup video but everything looks ok but the PMPC doesn't show as a product under SUP

Any pointers I know this is going to be something small I have missed I guess.

I am evaluating third-party SCCM/Intune catalogs, Patch My PC seems the most promising, but I have a question.

Does Patch My PC have permission from software vendors to provide updates for their software?

For instance I was reading the EULA for DisplayLink and it says:
10.0.0.0.1 192.168.0.1 192.168.1.254

You may not install, copy, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, create derivative works from, rent, sell, distribute, sublicense, offer as a service or transfer any part of the Software except as provided in this EULA or as permitted by applicable law...

So do you have permissions from the vendor? Is it even breaking copyright law as I am not familiar with it.

May I suggest to your techs, to look in the powershell detection script structure, and add hash-type parameter and function to deal with file attribute detection (to match what ConfigMgr offers) much like you have a registry hash-parameter and function?

Would you be able to submit a feature request here https://ideas.patchmypc.com/ to ensure we are tracking this request.

My client has an interesting question: if we allow x number of deferrals which are limited to a 5 minute display and return when the app eval cycle re-runs what if the end user missed them all ?   That may sound unlikely but I guess it's in the realm of possibility and that runs the risk of having , at best, an annoyed end user.  I know we can make that indefinite but many end users will see that as something to just ignore.

I was considering maintenance windows to make this more predictable but have i missed a more creative solution ?

When did you enable the delete shortcut option? We have the correct file name:

<ShortcutFileName>VLC media player</ShortcutFileName>

If you enable it after the update was published, it may not apply until the next update is released for VLC to remove shortcuts.

The requirements will only set on new applications or when an update is released for an application. This setting will not revise existing applications already created at the latest version on sync.

Hi - I have a few apps that I would like to set to only run on workstation OS.  In PMPC, I select to only allow on workstations; when I run a sync, the app doesn't appear at all in the summary email, and when I check the application's Requirements tab in deployment type, there are no entries.  Should I see something in there, or does the PMPC installer determine OS type?
