Messages - Scott (Patch My PC)

#1
Quick follow-up Vik, We've identified the issue and it should be resolved today!

I'll keep you updated, but once it's resolved you'll need to republish PyCharm Professional Edition for the fix to take effect
#2
Hey Vik

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We'll review this internally and get back to you
#3
Hey

Can you please reach out to [email protected] with the following Client-Side log files?
  • %ProgramData%\PatchMyPCIntuneLogs\PatchMyPC-ScriptRunner.log (This may be found in the %ProgramData%\PatchMyPC\ if the Install was initiated by the user from Company Portal.)
  • %ProgramData%\PatchMyPCIntuneLogs\PatchMyPC-SoftwareDetectionScript.log
  • %ProgramData%\PatchMyPCIntuneLogs\PatchMyPC-SoftwareUpdateDetectionScript.log
  • %ProgramData%\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\AgentExecutor.log
  • %ProgramData%\Microsoft\IntuneManagementExtension\Logs\IntuneManagementExtension.log
  • %ProgramData%\PatchMyPC\PatchMyPC-UserNotification.log
  • %ProgramData%\PatchMyPC\UISettings\UINotificationSettings.xml
Note: Some Patch My PC log files listed above may be found in %WinDir%\CCM folder if that folder exists.

Additionally, a Server-Side log bundle, which can be generated by clicking the Collect Logs button in the General tab of the Patch My PC Publisher.

Hey @[email protected]

At this time we do not have an API or RSS feed that you can query to get our supported products list, however this is a great idea that I'll raise internally!
#5
Hey Putoruca

Can you please be more specific on which flavour of Java you are referring to? We have various different Java builds from Oracle in our catalogue, only with Java variants from other vendors.
#6
Hey AlkHacNar

From what I can see, it's the IP address you are connecting from that is being banned, likely because someone else, at some point has had that IP address and been banned.

I have removed the 2 IP addresses I can see you connecting from, from our ban list.

Hey Aleksander

You can see our full list of supported products here - https://patchmypc.com/supported-products
However I am unsure of any applications specifically for DWG/DWF viewers, other than Autodesk Design Review

Hi AlkHacNar

Based on the Firefox release calendar, the current production release is 103 and the current ESR release is 91.12

https://wiki.mozilla.org/Release_Management/Calendar

There is currently no planned date for ESR 103 based on that calendar

Hey Mario

Can you please gather the following files and send them to [email protected]?

https://github.com/PatchMyPCTeam/CustomerTroubleshooting/blob/Release/PowerShell/Export-PMPCUninstallRegistryHives.ps1 - Grab a copy of this script, run it against a device that has ZScaler x86 installed and detection is failing and grab a copy of the CSV it produces.

Additionally, from this page please review the correct server side logs to gather (whether it's an Intune Update or ConfigMgr/WSUS Update) and gather them from the client side

Hey Vik

If you right click on the Product you made changes to in the Publisher and select Republish on next sync then run a manual sync from the Sync Schedule tab these options should be updated.

Hey Cliffb

We have this fully documented on our KB Article here - https://patchmypc.com/forticlientvpnmsi
Additionally, we have a script that automates the process of acquiring the correct MSI, you can find this here - https://github.com/PatchMyPCTeam/Community-Scripts/blob/main/Other/Get-FortiClientVPNOnlineInstaller/Get-FortiClientVPNOnlineInstaller.ps1

I recommend reviewing the KB article first

Hey Ian

We have a KB article that details this issue, you can see it here - https://patchmypc.com/sccm-update-download-error-0x80070191-the-thread-is-not-in-background-processing-mode

If you still experience issues after working through this KB, please reach out to [email protected]

Hey!

I like this idea! Can you please raise this as a feature request on our UserVoice - https://ideas.patchmypc.com/

Hi all

For the home updater to function correctly on Windows 7 devices, you will need to ensure that TLS1.2 (minimum) is enabled on your devices to be able to connect to patchmypc.com

TLS1.2 is not enabled on Windows 7 by default.
