Archived Feature and Product Request / Re: Autodesk Products
« on: May 24, 2019, 09:33:01 AM »
Justin,

Anything more regarding the ability to have the Autodesk products in Patch My PC.  I don't see anything on https://knowledge.autodesk.com/download that is preventing users without an account from downloading the patches, its mostly the full versions that are protected.

I have also reached out to our Autodesk Account Manager to see if there feed that could be referenced for all the patches, etc.

We have also submitted a request to Mersive (Request 23668) and have forwarded it to our account rep to see they can action this issue.

Archived Feature and Product Request / Re: Bluebeam Revu
« on: May 14, 2019, 03:09:37 PM »
@Justin @oac-it, I already opened a case with Bluebeam and they are aware of the issues. The response we got back is as follows:

Justin Chalfant from Patch MY PC had reached out to us about this concern about a month ago. This is information has been submitted to our development team to review. Currently, it's slated to be investigated and if any changes needs to be made, it'll likely be done for future versions of Revu, meaning 2019, 2020, or so on. That all depends on whatever my development team decides changes need to be made at all or not.

With that said, there won't be any immediate changes for Revu 2018.5 or any future versions of Revu 2018 we may provide. Are there any workarounds that Patch My PC can use to get Revu installed and updated?

My response to them regarding workarounds was as follows:

Unfortunately there are no work arounds, the packages being created by the development team are being created incorrectly which prevents the automation that Patch My PC has in place from ingesting the patch and distributing it. I know we are not the only Patch My PC customer that has requested Bluebeam support. Not being able to patch our systems easily has an impact on patch compliance and should Bluebeam be impacted by a zero-day vulnerability having integration with Patch My PC would simplify our remediation.

I think the more people that open a case with them the better. The way I see it they have no real intention of fixing these files, even though they are creating them incorrectly. Kind wish Microsoft would have some enforcement checks on these type of patches to invalidate the ones not created correctly.

What exactly do you need for detection?

Justin,

What is wrong with the MSP file? We have some contacts at Bluebeam with out enterprise agreement, might be able to get some support on this.

I know MS has added the ability to add third-party driver catalogs to SCCM. Are there any plans to add this functionality into PatchMyPC with some additional granularity? For example only BIOS and Drivers for specific manufactures, makes and models.

Or another thought, would there be a way for the organization using PatchMyPC to download the updates and create a manifest file that could be imported into the catalog and download from our own internal file share?

Could additional capabilities be built to allow companies that have access to software behind Autodesk's paywall to provide authentication credentials to download these updates? Most updates are either an msp, msi or exe.

I know at one time Autodesk had all the updates on their website for most of the updates: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/download

You might also be able to use the following blog to get the links to the articles that have the download links and then build upon that for the direct download links:
