New versions are posted frequently. The installer removes the old version during an update, or if no previous version was found simply performs a clean install.

This looks to be a paid product. If you install the latest version, will the product remain activated?

I can answer this in case you want to reconsider.

These products use a subscription based license, as long as it has not expired installing a new version will work.
