I'm seeing multiple computers failing to install Cisco Jabber 12.89.2.52982 using PatchMyPC with error 0x8024001e.  These same computers install other apps and Windows Updates just fine.  Some of them already have the same version of Jabber already installed.  Is there a way to look at the "installed rules" inside PatchMyPC to make sure everything is good there with this particular application?

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for your quick reply!  We are using PatchMyPC integrated with a WSUS Server.  Do you have a similar article on applicability rules and detection states for this kind of setup?  Thank you!

You are still free to download and install the Publisher to use the Publishing Wizard.
Otherwise, you can import your catalog into Updates Publisher to view the applicability rules for an update. (I've attached the latest Jabber applicability rule)

Hi Andrew,
I did find the "Show Applicability Rules" button in the Modify Updates Wizard.
Might it be possible to edit these rules, by any chance?
Thanks,
Richard

Were the applicability rules for that update causing issues?

You can actually modify them through Updates Publisher: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/mem/configmgr/sum/tools/updates-publisher
I'd probably advise against it though :)
