Hey Hattp1,

If you're looking to set up the Teams workflow app with Patch My PC, please refer to the article below for more information. The article also discusses communication, licensing, and the timeline for the switch.

I hope this helps. :)

False Positive. Apparently, Norton will not allow the user (you) to over-ride and deletes the file. This is true of other AVs, too. Try to find one that allows you to over0ride. Malwarebytes will allow over-rides and several others will too. Check AV reviews and find something else.

Dell G15 5520 with i5-12500H and 16 GB RAM ... Windows 11 Pro 24H2 26100.2605

Attempting to install v. 5.0.5.0 ,,,

Computer freezes at "Installing Prerequisite Software".

I left it on the screen at one point for several hours.

Attempt to get past this ...

Three Finger Salute (Control - Alternate - Delete), Task Manager, Delete "Control UI for administrative ..." and "Windows Installer" and back to Desktop.

After Reboot, the Installer runs again with same results. Reboot again and attempt to delete the Installer file ... no luck ... every time I boot, the installer rears it's ugly head.

What do I do? Please help. Thanks.

Hey Richard,

I got some information from the team. The vendor did initially have a 10.1.4828.0 for windows, but they pulled the update on their end.

We have pulled the update on our side as well and will have to wait until the vendor releases another version.

Hey Richard,

Testing this right now, the Home Updater is showing 10.1.4588.0 is up to date. Is your Home Updater still showing that you need to update the app?

Quote from: iamr00t on December 05, 2024, 08:14:11 PMI have been seeing the same issue with this new version. I just got the rest of it dialed in correctly to deploy as an upgradable app, then this happens. So, is the change to the Deployment Type Progam going to stick with the latest app version, or will we need to go in each time the product updates and change this?
Looks like the setting does not carry over to the new version as the newest version that was just published got the same problem.

 https://github.com/PatchMyPCTeam/Community-Scripts/tree/main/Uninstall/Pre-Uninstall/Uninstall-Software

I can't add arguments when executing the PS1 from the cloud portal, so I'm trying to specify values like $DisplayName within the PS1 itself. I've set that value in the script in both locations where $DisplayName is set: under the 'AdditionalArguments' parameters, and under the Get-InstalledSoftware function.

Yet when I test run the PS1, it still prompts me to enter a value for DisplayName in the command line:
cmdlet Uninstall-Software.ps1 at command pipeline position 1
Supply values for the following parameters:
DisplayName:

Anyone know how I need to properly supply this value (or others) within the PS1?

Is this issue resolved now?
