Gerring an update prompt from Patch My PC but the programs internal updater says the program is up to date.

It means you have older update of OBS Studio installed (27.1.3) with the latest one
You have to manually remove it from Add/Remove Programs

Omar, you are correct.
I've now removed both the old OBS Studio version and the old OBS VirtualCam version and run PMP. Now it looks good both in Add/Remove Programs and in  PMP.
