Hello!
I have a question about the Local Content Repository Feature.
TeamViewer has now a 64-bit client for the full version.
Right now we have clients with installed 32-bit TeamViewer full versions and 64-bit teamviewer full version.
To update I have to copy the MSI files to my defined "Local Content Path".
But the 32-bit and 64-bit TeamViewer full version file name is the same!
So is it possible to create a folder in the "Local Content Path" folder and will PmPC search in subfolder?

Thanks!

That's great, thank you! I will check on Monday!

Microsoft just released a new version 14.30.30704.0 (2015-2022).
So will you implement the new version please?
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-AU/cpp/windows/latest-supported-vc-redist?view=msvc-170

Also I have created the application for the new version in MEMCM.
It seems the preferred detection method is "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\VisualStudio\14.0\VC\Runtimes\X64" -Value "Bld"

The value is to risky for me so I looked for another Value and found that:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\DevDiv\vc\Servicing\14.0\RuntimeMinimum" -Value "Version"

Maybe this helps.
Thanks!

Today we checked the cipher suites on our site server.
But Server 2012r2 did not support the ciphers, which Snagit supports / needs.
So I cannot download snagit.
Seems to be changed from snagit a few weeks ago, because the initial download has worked.
We are already in the phase to check the upgrade to server 2019.

Hello Scott!

I set the option for "manage conflicting processes" on GIMP.
- Notify the user to close the application. Timeout after 300 seconds.
- Prevent the end-user from opening an application while the application is updating.
- Always show the notification.
- Do not allow user deferral.
- added gimp-2.8.exe to the managing process list.

Then republished the update.
But there is no republished update and the notification windows did not appear.
MEMCM installed the update while GIMP 2.8 is open without notification.

Did I something wrong or why does this not working?
Thanks!

PatchMyPC Publisher is up-to-date (2.0.9.0).

Hello Scott!

I will test that on the client and report back.
Thanks!

The old exe file does not matter.
But maybe it is possible to check before installing if the application is already open and set a reboot after finishing the update.

If an old version (2.8.16) of GIMP is open during the update of 2.10.24 there is a restart required.
The update will be installed successfully but closing the old version takes a few minutes.
Also in the installation location there are the old gimp-2.8.exe beneath the new gimp-2.10.exe .
As well opening the new version after the update is not possible and pops up an error message.

After restarting the device, GIMP is working again, but the old version exe still exist (this is not a PmPC fault, I guess).
Closing GIMP before the update, will not keep the old gimp-2.8.exe.

Is it possible to optimize the installation for GIMP?

Thanks!  :)
It Is available right now, actually I cannot test, because of TLS missconfig on the server  :(
I will report back later.

To disable the Auto Update for Snagit 202X there is a simple registry key.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\TechSmith\SnagIt\20
"NoAutoUpdateSupport"=dword:00000001

This can be found in the official Snagit guide.
https://assets.techsmith.com/Docs/Snagit-2021-MSI-Installation-Guide.pdf

Is it possible to implement this and enable the button "Disable self-updater"?

Thanks, I voted for the idea.
In the meantime I configured the catalog myself in the MEMCM with this link: https://armmf.adobe.com/arm-manifests/win/SCUP/ReaderCatalog-2020.cab

We checked the Adobe Acrobat Reader 2020 Classic in the "Updates" Tab.
But after running the sync no update was downloaded.
I used the button "Show package info: title, command-line- download URL, etc." and the window is empty.
Seems to be not fully implemented.

Could somebody from Patch-My-PC check, please?
Thanks!

I have tried with your commandline:

PaintDotNet__4.2.12_x64.msi  with argument: REBOOT=ReallySuppress CHECKFORBETAS=0 DESKTOPSHORTCUT=0 CHECKFORUPDATES=0 JPGPNGBMPEDITOR=1 TGAEDITOR=1 QUEUENGEN=0 SKIPCLEANUP=0 USINGWIZARD=1 LASTACCEPTEDEULAVERSION="20000101" /l C:\windows\ccm\logs\PatchMyPCInstallLogs\PaintDotNet__4.2.12_x64.msi.log

The installation finished successful!
But I have to test what happens, if paint.net is open while installing.
I will report back!

We have the same problem.
Will there be a MSI version update of VLC media player published?
