I just updated to Audacity 2.0.6.

Per the Audacity Manual (http://manual.audacityteam.org/o/man/faq_installation_and_plug_ins.html#ffdown),

"FFmpeg 2.2.2 for Windows and Mac should be used with the latest version of Audacity.

The previous FFmpeg 0.6.2 for Audacity will not be recognized by Audacity 2.0.6 and later, and FFmpeg 2.2.2 will not be recognized by Audacity versions before 2.0.6."

So I updated FFmpeg to 2.2.2.

Now PatchMyPC v3.0.0.1 with definitions 01.01.15 displays "FFmpeg v0.6.2 for Audacity - 0.6.2" in red.

Also, Audacity 2.0.6 is shown in green in the Search Apps column with a check mark in the box. It is not listed under Update Status.

W7 starter edition on a netbook.
