Title: None of the PMPC applications install from within a task sequence
Post by: PC2NR on March 16, 2021, 09:17:04 AM
I have been trying to deploy PMPC applications through a task sequence in SCCM alongside other applications. The other applications get installed fine, but none of the PMPC applications are installed.
If I deploy the PMPC apps as available in software center, they DO install. just not through the task sequence. Any help is most appreciated!

Hi,

This is a common issue because we use PowerShell scripts as our detection method. Can you please try the fixes documented here: https://patchmypc.com/applications-fail-to-install-during-osd-in-sccm-with-error-authorizationmanager-check-failed-0x87d00327 (https://patchmypc.com/applications-fail-to-install-during-osd-in-sccm-with-error-authorizationmanager-check-failed-0x87d00327) and let me know if they help?

Hi Andrew,
I followed the guide to install the certificate prior to the install application step, and did a new test image on a physical machine. Some of the apps installed, but many others did not. Here is the output I found regarding one app that did not get installed taken from the AppDiscovery.log

Interesting. In C:\Windows\Temp there should be a log for PatchMyPC-Detection, can you check that log and see if the detection script ran and found anything? It also might be helpful to check PatchMyPC-Scriptrunner in the ccm\logs folder.

If you'd like, you can also submit a case and attach the log files here: https://patchmypc.com/technical-support (https://patchmypc.com/technical-support)

OK, I changed a couple things and initiated re-imaging again. It won't complete before I leave for the day. I will check it tomorrow morning.
Thanks for your assistance

Looks like the fix is working now. I have successfully imaged a machine and all the PMPC applications have installed.
Thanks again for your help Andrew!

Hi, I have the same issue here and followed the instructions (https://patchmypc.com/applications-fail-to-install-during-osd-in-sccm-with-error-authorizationmanager-check-failed-0x87d00327) but it still doesn't work.

I've also checked C:\Windows\Temp but cannot find any logfile. Can someone help me?

For further information: The applications are also available in software center but I am unable to use them in a task sequence.

Thanks, Marco
