Thanks for fixing.  The "Vote" button works fine now.   :)

Please consider adding ESET Online Scanner, which is effectively a portable app that can be used as a free on-demand virus/malware scanner.

Thanks.  However, the voting form appears to be broken.  When I click the "Vote" button, nothing happens.

".NET Framework  -  4.7.02558" shows in red, even though scanning has been disabled for "Microsoft .NET Framework 4.7.2".  I am using Windows 7.

Just wondered if paid-only VPN apps (such as Private Internet Access) are eligible or not for inclusion in PMPC Updater?  The criteria here states that apps must be freeware:

However, although these VPN clients are often free to download, they are not usable without purchasing a paid subscription.

The above would not apply to VPN services that offer a free and usable ongoing VPN plan - such as ProtonVPN and Windscribe.

When using PatchMyPC Updater recently on a Windows 7 64-bit PC, I notice that the size of the download is reported as "0 MB".  However, the file downloads and installs perfectly regardless.

Two apps that I've seen this with are:

  • PDF-XChange Editor
  • RogueKiller
Could this be a bug?

It is showing as "Brave 0.22.21 (x64)" now.   :)
I also notice that there is no "latest version number" listed next to Brave (on the left-hand side of the PMPC Updater user interface).

I have the latest version of Brave Browser (0.22.13) installed on a Windows 7 PC.  If I check for updates in Brave itself it says my installation is up-to-date and there are no updates but PMPC Updater reports the installation as being out-of-date.

Glary Utilities seems to be updating fine now through PMPC Updater.
Please see this link:

It is old, but I noticed this comment:

"The add/remove programs always lists the initial version of the software you installed as the uninstaller is created from that original installation."

If this is still true, it would mean that PMPC Updater would always see an old version as being installed as this version number will stay the same - even when the app is updated.  Is this correct?
SUPERAntiSpyware is only listed once in the Uninstall tab of PMPC Updater - showing version 6.0.1254.  However, when SUPERAntiSpyware is run it says I'm using 6.0.1258.  Perhaps SUPERAntiSpyware did not update the DisplayVersion number when the latest version was released?

I have the latest version - SUPERAntiSpyware 6.0.1258 installed.  However, PMPC incorrectly says I have version 6.0.1254 installed and is out-of-date.  I am using Windows 7 and the last update for SUPERAntiSpyware was done through SUPERAntiSpyware itself.

I noticed a small bug yesterday in PMPC where the colour of the "Portable Apps" title is not updated.

Steps to reproduce:

1) I had two portable apps in total, both out-of-date.
2) I unchecked and reset both portable apps.
3) "Portable Apps" title stays red - even though no portable apps now require updating.

Also, the "Portable Apps" title stays red after rescanning the apps.  The only way to make it go black is to restart PMPC.

Please consider adding Emsisoft Emergency Kit, a free and portable anti-malware tool:
