java 8 update 31 update

java 8 update 31 comes up red on patch my pc indicating it needs to update but it say's that no updates are selected.

Is it showing as red in the right pane? You probably have multiple versions installed. If the latest is installed the left application should be green but outdated versions will still be listed.

That was it. Thanks much for the reply. I uninstalled the old patch/version and everything seems to be working OK. I thought that might be the problem but was hesitant to remove the old patch/version for fear it might break Java. Thanks again for your time and advice.

GREAT Program and thanks for making it free. I am on a limited income and have to rely on free programs for much of what I need. So far they have not let me down.
