Finding Obsolete Software
«

Hi,
When patch my pc detects obsolete software, how do I tell where the items are? I get the red items in the viewer, but I need the path names to determine what to do next.
Any suggestions??
Thanks,
David

Hi David,
check out these threads:

You will probably find what you're looking for in the Add/Remove Programs in many cases. In others you may have to look around your computer or ask more specifically.
Best of luck,

Hi,
Well I did a registry search and found specific references to the obsolete progs, even though the files were not installed. When I deleted the reg references via regedit all was well.
So I would suggest that pmpc indicate if the reference is a file or a registry entry at least.
