Thanks - Please note Scratch v3.0 has now been released in both online and offline formats.
It's now called Scratch Desktop v3.0 instead of Scratch Offline Installer v2.x.
It appears to use a very different installation mechanism, which is annoyingly still not available in an easy-to-use MSI file format.

Ah - From my laptop the download link works fine. From the server, the entire download page is denied.

Fix is clear - Allowed SCCM/PatchMyPC server access through the filters and download now works OK.

Pretty strange that it doesn't like this download page, when all the other products selected in PatchMyPC Publishing Console work just fine. Filters are strange creatures.

Many thanks!

Hi,

I'm wondering if it's possible to add Scratch Offline Editor to your catalog if you haven't already tried?
https://scratch.mit.edu/ Scratch is used in many schools to help children learn to code and apply computational thinking to solve problems. We have it on all our PCs here and use it right across the school curriculum.
There is a web-based version of Scratch, but the offline editor installs locally to PCs and doesn't require that you have accounts for each child (handy when we have hundreds of children aged 5-11 using this!)

Offline editor is based on Adobe Air and is available here, and an MSI is buried within the installer.

Thanks for your consideration!

Hi,

<Sorry - I just posted this in Home PatchMyPC version forum by mistake, but actually we're using site license for the school - so I'm posting here instead>

I've just set up PatchMyPC in the last few weeks. All apps seem to work ok except VLC.
Current version is 3.0.4 but it just fails in the logs as it can't see the file to download. Same issue for 32 and 64-bit versions.

I see a post relating to VLC 3.0.4 from back in August (  https://patchmypc.com/forum/index.php?topic=2201.0  ), but that doesn't match with the location in my PmPC logs. This download appears to have been failing for a few weeks now.

Here's a snip from my log file, which also shows a successful download of a new GIMP version.

Just to add, the links appear to be correct - Throw them into a browser and they do go to the download page, but the download doesn't start for a few seconds after the page is loaded. Perhaps PmPC is timing out the download too quick?

Thanks very much!
