Just to update, the same issue is happening with Nitro version 14.34.2.0 on our SCCM updates, but seems to be working for those that update via Intune.
Software center returns the Hash value mismatch error using the mst for config manager but works using the mst for Intune.

Hey CODRyan,

If you are seeing the contacted in ccmcache, but the updates are never installing, you might want to check the 'deployment' schedule of the Software Update Group that the updates are apart of.

If you don't have a maintenance window configured for the device, and the 'deadline' time for the deployment is in the future, then the device is waiting for that deadline time to run the updates.

You could also be in a situation that the deployment is perpetually getting extended to the future depending on how your ADR is configured.

I would suggest submitting a support case, or schedule a Review session and we can go over your setting and maybe see what is going on.

I apologize for the probably "newb-level" question here, but I am hoping for direction on where to start with troubleshooting an issue I'm seeing on many devices in our environment (Configuration Manager).

Example of the behavior I'm seeing: A device shows in Advanced Insights that several updates are required, spanning back quite some time.  This is a device that is otherwise receiving and applying non-PMP applications/packages as well as Windows/Office updates via ADR's in Configuration Manager.

If I log into this device and browse to C:\Windows\ccmcache, I can find the packages corresponding to the required updates but they're seemingly never being installed by the SCCM client.  I've tried manually running Machine Policy Retrieval/Software Updates Deployment Evaluation/Scan cycles, but those particular packages seem to never kick off.  Meanwhile, the majority of machines in those same collections are working as intended.

If I could get some help on where to look for breadcrumbs that would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Just needed it as an additional file in the pacakge.  Do i need to write any script out or can i just put the link to the .dat file  in additional files.

Hey dipla65,

You can include the 'dat' file as an additional file in the package using the 'Add custom pre/post scripts' right-click option.
https://patchmypc.com/custom-options-available-for-third-party-updates-and-applications#custom-scripts

Do you just need the dat file as part of the package, or do you need to move the dat file somewhere local on the machine? If you need to move it, you can then run a 'Post Script' to copy the dat file to where you need.

Hi,

I am installing an application called Endpoint and it requires a .dat file.  Need to add both files together for installation as .dat contains license..etc.  Whats the best way of doing this.

Hi, the Patch My PC Publisher allows overriding these settings at the vendor and/or the individual application level. If you right-click the vendor node (i.e. "Igor Pavlov") and select "Manage application update and retention...", a dialog appears that lets you specify the application update mode for all applications under this vendor. If you want these settings to follow the ones specified in the ConfigMgr options, make sure to select "As defined in ConfigMgr apps options".

After checking/correcting this, right-click the individual application(s) you are publishing, and verify the same settings there.

Hello,
Can you please let us know why do you want to install it on a desktop OS instead of a server OS? Is there a particular issue you're trying to solve?

We currently have a issue for a decent time now, in which for example 7zip.
**Applications are installed per Task Sequence during Windows setup

7zip 24.07   is currently deployed and works all fine
New version 24.09 is released, its in PatchMyPc in ConfigMgr Application Manager, its also in SCCM Config Mgr,
but the old version 24.07 is still being deployed.

We already have it set to "Update existing applications metadata, deployment type, detection method, and content files (default)"

This is not just happening with 7zip, mainly happens also with Google Chrome / Adobe...
eventually we have 2-3 google chromes & 7zips ...etc  under applications in SCCM

Hello, when will a working version of the Patch Insights installer be available for windows 11?
