Title: .NET Framework Initialization Error
Post by: Danny Schindler on May 25, 2012, 04:40:54 AM
'Unable to find a version of the runtime to run this application'

I have .NET 4 installed on my XP machine but I get this error.
I see from another link it needs .NET 3.5. Would I have to downgrade?

Thanks. It works fine on my Vista with 3.5 but I need .NET 4 on the other PC.
Will your app. be compatible any time soon?

.NET 4.0 and .NET 3.5 can both be installed on the same machine.

You should really put a little note that mentions requiring .Net 3.5. It can be quite misleading.

Wherever you see fit. Maybe a requirement/prereq page.
