keep in mind, major upgrades for example from 2016 to 2017 do require a new license key from provider, so you cant upgrade from 2016 to 2017 without it, or it can be added as parameter manually before publishing.

There is only 1 version of 2017 edition, We can't add this until a second version releases. Do you want the last version of 2016 ?
Also do you want "Vu" or only "Revu" ?

i have multiple versions of 2016 running, so all is possible.

upgrading from 2016 to 2017 is also okey, as long as i can insert key in the  parameters before publishing to SCCM.

Revu is the one we use.

We're a fairly large construction company that uses Bluebeam and we're currently looking into purchasing PatchMyPC. We (mainly me) would love to have Bluebeam integrated into the catalog. I believe you can update the current installed versions with a .msp file?

Sorry about the delay, There is a problem adding the MSP updates to the catalog and we may not be able to add them, We probably may add the full MSI installers instead.

Sorry for the delay. I would recommend contacting BlueBeam because their MSP installers seem to have some invalid elements.

Create/Edit Update or Bundle Failed
Error Message: [System.Xml.Schema.XmlSchemaValidationException] The 'http://www.microsoft.com/msi/patch_applicability.xsd:TargetLanguage' element is invalid - The value '0,1033,1030,1043,2057,1035,1036,1031,1040,1041,1042,1044,1034,1053' is invalid according to its datatype 'http://www.microsoft.com/msi/patch_applicability.xsd:ValidateLanguage' - The string '0,1033,1030,1043,2057,1035,1036,1031,1040,1041,1042,1044,1034,1053' is not a valid Int32

I think it may be the 0 value in the language code I don't believe that's valid.

Post by: Justin Chalfant (Patch My PC) on April 14, 2018, 04:22:01 PM
Actually, they are trying to add multiple languages in the <TargetLanguage> element. It doesn't appear this allows a list of language codes based on the applicability schema: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/bb972753(v=vs.85).aspx

The target language should likely look something like this: <TargetLanguage Validate="false">0</TargetLanguage>
There's is currently: <TargetLanguage Validate="false">0,1033,1030,1043,2057,1035,1036,1031,1040,1041,1042,1044,1034,1053</TargetLanguage>

I would recommend that you reach out to them directly since you are licensed and likely have support.

I got the MSP to install successfully with the following command line:
msiexec /p BbRevu2018.4x64_Update5.msp REINSTALLMODE=omus REINSTALL=ALL REBOOT=ReallySuppress /qn
Title: Re: Bluebeam Revu
Post by: Justin Chalfant (Patch My PC) on March 06, 2019, 09:31:14 AM
The issue wasn't actually with the MSP installer installing, but it was invalid schema in the MSP applicability table causing the updates to not validate in the Update SDP.

Ah. How do you check/validate that property in the MSP? It's been forever since I had to do things like that and Orca doesn't seem to tell me anything.

We do have support with them, so if the current patch is still busted I'm happy to yell at them about it. :)

We were testing it with SCUP previously, but you may be able to see the logic in Orca.

Here's the details from before: https://patchmypc.com/forum/index.php?topic=1367.msg4849#msg4849

We haven't had a chance to see if the latest MSP works ok yet. Maybe it's been fixed.

Their MSP file still has invalid logic in the update. They also use a ZIP file for the download which isn't supported by SCUP or SCCM publishing.

Justin,

What is wrong with the MSP file? We have some contacts at Bluebeam with out enterprise agreement, might be able to get some support on this.

They are using multiple comma separated values in the targetlanguage when this isn't supported by the windows update schema: https://patchmypc.com/forum/index.php?topic=1367.msg4849#msg4849

Here's an email we sent their team, haven't get anything back.

Hi,

Could you please send this to whoever create the installer binaries for the MSIÔÇÖs and MSP patches?

Your MSP patches such as https://downloads.bluebeam.com/software/downloads/2018.3.4/update/x64/BbRevu2018.3.4x64_Update4.zip contain invalid update logic. You guys enter a multiple comma separated integers in <TargetLanguage> when it should only be 1 (https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/desktop/bb972753(v=vs.85)). You should use language code 0 if the MSP is language independent.

I doesnÔÇÖt validate with the PathApplicability schema: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/desktop/bb972753(v=vs.85)

We have a lot of Bluebeam Revo customer who want us to include your MSP patches in our third-party update catalog for SCCM, but it wonÔÇÖt work because the MSP patches are using invalid <TargetLanguages> elements as listed above https://patchmypc.com/forum/index.php?topic=1367.0.

Bluebeam released a new update today. Perhaps they fixed the MSI this time around?

If not let me know and I will open a support case with them. We have around 150 licenses with them so hopefully that could get a response.

@Justin @oac-it, I already opened a case with Bluebeam and they are aware of the issues. The response we got back is as follows:

Justin Chalfant from Patch MY PC had reached out to us about this concern about a month ago. This is information has been submitted to our development team to review. Currently, it's slated to be investigated and if any changes needs to be made, it'll likely be done for future versions of Revu, meaning 2019, 2020, or so on. That all depends on whatever my development team decides changes need to be made at all or not.

With that said, there won't be any immediate changes for Revu 2018.5 or any future versions of Revu 2018 we may provide. Are there any workarounds that Patch My PC can use to get Revu installed and updated?

My response to them regarding workarounds was as follows:

Unfortunately there are no work arounds, the packages being created by the development team are being created incorrectly which prevents the automation that Patch My PC has in place from ingesting the patch and distributing it. I know we are not the only Patch My PC customer that has requested Bluebeam support. Not being able to patch our systems easily has an impact on patch compliance and should Bluebeam be impacted by a zero-day vulnerability having integration with Patch My PC would simplify our remediation.

I think the more people that open a case with them the better. The way I see it they have no real intention of fixing these files, even though they are creating them incorrectly. Kind wish Microsoft would have some enforcement checks on these type of patches to invalidate the ones not created correctly.

I fear, this would have just an even worse effect. "Wait? You invalidate our MSP? Screw you! We build our own update logic then" resulting in an Exe-installer without any arguments.
