Title: 7-zip update fails

As of https://www.7-zip.org/download.html there are only EXE installers available for release 21.05

Yes they didn't update the MSIs yet.. Not sure if they will ever do!
But Patch My PC updates the EXE if you are using the EXE and updates the MSI if you have the MSI ! And that's why it fails.
For now you can uninstall 7-Zip and install it again from Patch My PC and it will install the EXE and will update it just fine in the future.

Thanks for the information.
I removed 7-zip, but PMPC still wants to download the MSI.

Could PMC please add an option to prefer EXE installers over MSI where applicable? 7-Zip would be a great example for that. Igor Pavlov actually recommends using the EXE installer over the MSI, because he have more control over it. See: https://sourceforge.net/p/sevenzip/support-requests/289/.
