MicrosoftEdgeWebView2 Runtime x64-131.0.2903.99 installation Overdue in SC

Dear Team,

I have problem with installing in MicrosoftEdgeWebView2 Runtime x64-131.0.2903.99 installation is Overdue Error in Software Centre. But when i click again in software centre the application installs without error.

i really cannot understand here why its not installing automatic. can you please help i would be great thankfull to you.

Thank you for the information, and sorry that you are experiencing this issue.

A colleague reviewed this case and was able to shed some light. If you're deploying this as a ConfigMgr app as Required, it could be related to an issue we are investigating impacting some apps including WebView2. Please try enabling the following option within the Deployment Type properties of the app:



This should resolve the issue but let us know if it does not. This could also impact apps such as Adobe Reader and referencing the apps within task sequences.

Please note, this is a temporary solution as it stands. We are working on changes on the backend to address this, but it requires changes to the Publisher itself that won't be released until later this month or sometime in February.
